Account deletion

Delete your JoltSMS account and associated data

JoltSMS users can delete their account from the dashboard or mobile app. If you cannot log in, you can request deletion by email.

Delete from Settings

  1. Sign in to the JoltSMS dashboard or mobile app.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion request when prompted.

In the dashboard, this path is app.joltsms.com/settings and then Settings -> Delete Account.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot log in, email [email protected] from the email address on your JoltSMS account when possible.

Include your account email and state that you want to delete your JoltSMS account and associated data. Do not send passwords, SMS verification codes, or full payment card details. We may need to verify ownership before completing the request.

What gets deleted

  • Your active JoltSMS account profile is disabled or anonymized, including account email and social sign-in identifiers.
  • Active browser, mobile, and realtime dashboard sessions are revoked.
  • Notification endpoints, team access, and related account configuration are removed or unlinked from the deleted account.
  • Inbound SMS message bodies and parsed verification codes are redacted after the post-deletion soft-purge window described in our Privacy Policy.

What may be retained

Some records may be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, operational, tax, accounting, billing, or dispute-resolution reasons.

  • Stripe invoices, credit notes, tax records, and billing ledger entries may be retained as required for accounting, tax, payment dispute, and chargeback obligations.
  • Security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, and operational audit logs may be retained where needed to protect the service, investigate misuse, or comply with law.
  • Short-lived infrastructure caches, backups, and vendor logs may persist temporarily until normal retention or overwrite cycles complete.
