Manage Team Access

Invite teammates, assign roles, and choose what each person can do across Numbers, Inbox, Notifications, and Billing.

TL;DR

Invite from: Settings → Team.
Per-area permissions: You can tighten access to Inbox, Numbers, Notifications, and Billing.

Owner

Full access to everything (including billing).

Admin

Manage numbers, team, and integrations; view billing.

Member

Use numbers/inbox, send/receive OTPs, view integrations.

Viewer

View inbox and numbers; no changes (read-only).

Invite a teammate

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Click Invite teammate.
  3. Enter email, choose a role, and (optional) restrict areas.
  4. Send invite. They'll receive an email to create or join their account.

Roles & permissions

CapabilityOwnerAdminMemberViewer
View Inbox & Numbers
Receive OTPs (Inbox)
Send test messages (where applicable)
Manage Numbers (rent/release/rename)
Manage Integrations (Slack/Discord/Webhooks)
Manage Team (invite, change roles)
Billing (view invoices, cancel, refunds)

Restrict who can see the Inbox

If you need to limit sensitive OTP visibility:

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Edit a teammate → toggle Inbox access off (or set to View only).
  3. Save.

Control access to Numbers

To keep number rental/management limited:

  1. Go to Settings → Team → Edit teammate.
  2. Disable Numbers management.
  3. Save.

Control access to Notifications (Slack/Discord/Webhooks)

Use this when only certain admins should modify destinations:

  1. Go to Settings → Team → Edit teammate.
  2. Disable Manage integrations (or set to view-only if available).
  3. Save.

Billing access

  • Limit who can see invoices, renewals, and refunds by keeping billing to Owner/Admin.
  • If a Member needs to download a single invoice, temporarily grant access and revoke later.

Remove or suspend a teammate

  1. Settings → Team.
  2. More (…) on the teammate → Remove (revokes all access) or Suspend (if available).
  3. Confirm.

Removing a user immediately stops their access to Inbox, Numbers, and webhooks management.

Best practices

Least privilege

Start new teammates at Viewer or Member, raise only when needed.

Rotate access

Review the team list monthly; remove ex-contractors.

Separate owners

Keep at least two Owners for continuity (vacations, emergencies).

Audit changes

If you use Slack/Discord/Webhooks, keep Admin changes limited and documented.

Troubleshooting

Teammate didn't get the invite

  • Ask them to check spam.
  • Re-send invite from Settings → Team.
  • If they still don't receive it, contact [email protected] with their email.

User can't see Inbox

  • Confirm their role/permission includes Inbox access.
  • If using workspace restrictions, ensure they're in the right workspace (if applicable).

User can't rent a number

  • They likely aren't Admin/Owner or lack Numbers management permission.
