Refund Policy

Reliable Channel LLC

JoltSMS rents dedicated, real-SIM U.S. phone numbers on monthly and annual subscriptions. Because we pay our upstream carrier as soon as you subscribe, subscription fees are non-refundable except in the specific cases described below.

This policy applies whether you subscribed through the dashboard, the developer API, or our MCP server.


🔍1. The Basics

  • Subscriptions are non-refundable once your number is allocated. This includes setup fees, monthly renewals, and annual upfront payments.
  • No prorated refunds for canceling mid-cycle, low usage, or changing your mind.
  • Canceling auto-renewal turns off the next renewal but keeps your number active until the end of the current billing cycle. The number is released when that cycle ends.

⚙️2. If We Can’t Deliver Your Area Code (Automatic Refund)

If you paid extra for a premium area code (the $3.50/month or $35/year area-code addon) and we can’t find a number matching it, we automatically issue a Stripe Credit Note for the addon amount back to your original payment method.

No Ticket Required

This happens automatically when our backorder system exhausts its attempts. The base subscription stays active — only the unfulfilled addon is refunded.


3. The 3-Day Cancellation Window (Monthly Plans Only)

We charge your card 3 days before your monthly renewal date. This gives us time to fix a failed payment before your number expires.

If you cancel during those 3 days — after the charge clears but before the carrier renews the number — we refund that renewal charge in full. Once the carrier renews, the new month is non-refundable.

This window does not apply to annual plans.


💳4. Annual Plans Are Non-Refundable

Annual subscriptions ($500/year base, plus the optional $35/year area-code addon) are non-refundable from the moment of checkout. The 3-day cancellation window above does not apply.

If you upgrade from monthly to annual mid-cycle, you pay a prorated annual amount immediately. Once that payment clears, your subscription becomes a 365-day annual cycle and the monthly refund rules no longer apply.


📡5. Third-Party Platforms (Not Refundable)

Your JoltSMS number works if it can receive SMS messages — that’s what we sell. We do not control whether any specific service or app accepts your number.

If an external service rejects your account, flags your registration, or blocks a verification text — while our number can still receive SMS from carrier tests — that is not a JoltSMS failure and is not refundable. This includes:

  • Anti-fraud or anti-abuse filters at social networks, marketplaces, or banks
  • Phone-number reputation databases
  • Proxy, VPN, or browser fingerprint blocks at the third party
  • Account bans for reasons unrelated to your phone number

You are responsible for complying with the platforms you use.

Narrow Exception — Technical Failure

If your number genuinely cannot receive any SMS at all, you may request a manual review. We will issue a refund or credit when all of the following are true:

  1. The number fails inbound delivery from standard carrier test messages.
  2. The failure traces to our infrastructure or our upstream carrier — not to a third-party platform’s block of your account or activity.
  3. You give our team a reasonable chance to fix or replace the number before requesting a refund.

❄️6. Chargebacks and Acceptable Use Violations

If you violate our Acceptable Use Policy — automated abuse, spam routing, account-creation exploits, evasion of rate limits — we terminate your access. All remaining subscription time is forfeited and no refunds are issued.

If you file a chargeback or bank dispute instead of contacting us, your account is automatically frozen, your sessions are revoked, and your numbers are suspended pending resolution. We will not adjust, refund, or restore your account while the dispute is open. If your number is released by the carrier during the dispute window, that loss is not our liability.

💬 Talk to Us First

A reply at [email protected] is almost always faster than a chargeback — and unlike a chargeback, it doesn’t freeze your account.


🏛️7. Disputes

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute over billing or refunds will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Tarrant County, Texas, under the Federal Arbitration Act.

YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE AS A PLAINTIFF, REPRESENTATIVE, OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR GROUP LEGAL ACTION AGAINST RELIABLE CHANNEL LLC.


✉️8. How to Request a Refund

For the technical-failure exception, or to ask about a specific charge:

Please include:

  • Your account email
  • The phone number affected (E.164 format, e.g. +16094130666)
  • What you were trying to receive and what happened (e.g., “verification code from acme.com never arrived”)
  • Approximate date and time the issue started

We typically respond within one business day.
